Eu iria/ faria se eu pudesse, mas eu não posso.Então não irei/farei.

Tem alguém em casa?

Has anybody seen my eyeglasses?
Alguém viu meus óculos?

She has something I can't explain, that drives me crazy.
Ela tem alguma coisa que eu não posso explicar, que me deixa louco.

Asking for directions
Pedindo orientação

John would need some tools he had'nt at home. So, he went shopping. He walks looking for a DIY store (a hardware store) next home.
John iria precisar de algumas ferramentas que não tinha em casa. então ele foi às compras. Andou até uma loja d material de construção ( uma loja de ferragens) perto de casa.

John: My goodness... where the store  that used to be here?
John: Nossa...Onde está a loja que ficava aqui?

Then, John approaches a person who was passing by.
Então, John se aproxima de um transeunte.

John: Please...I'm looking  for a DIY store. I thought it had one right here.
John: Por favor.... Estou procurando uma loja de materiais de construção. Pensei que havia uma bem aqui.

A passer-by: I know. It used to be. I guess you will need walk a little more to find another.
Um transeunte: Eu sei. Tinha. Eu acho que você precisará andar mais para encontrar outra.

John: And you know where it is?
I think I need directions  to get there.
John: E você sabe onde é? Acho que preciso de orientações para chegar lá.

A passer-by: Yes, I know. Go straight ahead and bear right. Then, you'll find the store forward, after crossing the Main Road.
Um transeunte: Sim , eu sei. Vá direto em frente e vire à direita.
Então, você encontrará a loja adiante, depois de cruzar a rua principal.

John: Thanks a lot.
John: Muito Obrigado.

A passer-by: You're welcome.
Um transeunte: Não há de quê.
